In Europe, we lead the way in terms of sustainable packaging materials from renewable raw materials. This is the result of the efforts we have made since the year 2000 in terms of efficient processes and sustainable packaging innovations. We did it not only to save time and money, we did it because the environment is important to us. We as a business believe in a green future: and that concept is at the heart of our policy.

Compostable packaging

Each year, Moonen Packaging supplies 19,000 tonnes of packaging and packaging materials, which are made from paper, cardboard, plastic and wood. We test and develop increasing numbers of applications with nature-friendly materials, based on renewable raw materials, such as a cradle2cradlecoffee cup, made from sugar cane waste. We are now far beyond the 'internal awareness' stage of doing sustainable business. These past few years, we have increasingly put our values into practice when it comes to our clients and suppliers. We strive alongside them to leave our children and grandchildren with a better, more liveable world.

Corporate Social Responsibility in action

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goes so much further than just doing business in a green way. It is part of a greater whole. We also pay a great deal of attention to safety, health and the living environment. We dedicate ourselves to honest work practices and have agreed upon a number of codes of conduct with our people. We also share our knowledge with interested parties and participate in various knowledge organisations, including MVO Nederland, and are members of many organisations. This is how we expand our knowledge - an advantage we are ready to pass on to you.
